We all find kittens and cats to be just adorable. These ladies do not do intend for it to turn out the way it does. Most of these ladies start out with just a couple of cats to keep them company. However a crazy cat lady can take things too far and but herself and her cats in a harmful environment. They do not even realize it when their cats start having babies, or when they keep bringing in strays and they end up with a hundred cats that have already taken over their home.
This problem usually comes from a much bigger problem like a death in the family or being lonely. However, there are times when the person is mentally handicapped and that can cause them to hoard animals such as cats. Like with all hoarders they seem to over do it and they do not realize it.
A hoarder doesn't even know they have this condition. Most crazy cat ladies are all alone and so their cats are their only companions. They have no one to step up and try to do an intervention for them. When you lose your entire family you find it comforting to have pets.
Once they get to the point where they are considered the crazy cat woman things have gotten so bad that the living conditions have become dangerous for her and for her cats. The cats urinate and defecate all over the house. The boy cats spray the walls and furniture.
Cats reproduce very often which means these ladies end up with way more cats than they started out with. Another major problem is that with that many cats you can not afford to take them t a vet for regular check ups and shots so without the shots the cats can spread disease amongst themselves.
Even though these cats start to die because they are sick doesn't mean the numbers of cats goes down any because it doesn't the cats keep having kittens. The smell in these peoples house is unbelievable. The feces and urine smell can be harmful health wise to the owner and the animals. When you breath in urine and feces all day long it can make you very sick.
She could develop problems breathing, she could also get a disease in which parasites start to grow inside of her body. Anytime you around that much cat urine and feces you run the risk of catching something. That is why dog pounds, and shelters use a surgical mask when cleaning out the cages.
If you want to own a cat then be responsible. Be sure that you can afford to take them to the vet for their check ups and shots. Always make sure to get them fixed and never have more than you can afford to take care of.
