How To Have An Obedient Dog

By Joseph Stan

If you have a puppy that is running around the house destroying everything then you need to seriously take control of the situation. In this article we are going to provide you with a few useful tips that will help you train your dog and be sure he never wrecks your home ever again.

Our first recommendation is to get your puppy a toy. A puppy should have chew toys to get him through the teething pains. Keep other things out of his reach. Give the dog one of its own chew toys right away. Teething pain can be soothed by a washcloth that has been soaked in water and frozen.

It's important to remember that yelling at your dog never solves anything. Yelling only will make your dog scared of you and it will be far more difficult to train him. Using the same level of volume and tone of voice when giving commands will help your dog understand that you are giving a command. This is especially helpful when you go for walks and you need to have control at all times in order to avoid your dog from getting hurt.

Watch your dog carefully and learn the signs that they need to go outside. It's common for them to snuffle, wise and pace when they have to go. Do not hesitate when you see your dog do that. Immediately take your dog outside to the official restroom spot. Whenever he relieves himself in an appropriate time and place, he should be praised immediately. Do this consistently and he will always let you know when he needs to go outside.

The number one thing you should be doing is providing care and love to your dog, however obedience is also very important and you'll need to learn to be firm when the time is needed. If you follow these tips the relationship between you and your dog will be better than ever and not only will you be happy but your dog will be as well.
