Cute As A Teddy Bear Puppies For Sale

This new little designer dog is also called a Zuchon, a Shichon, or a Tzu Frise. They're cuddly, playful, friendly, docile, just plain adorable. They're intelligent, easy to train, and eager to please. Teddy Bear puppies for sale are small dogs with big hearts, loyal, lovable, and sweet. They can be a mix of colors and patterns. No two are alike.

Weighing less than 16 pounds, Zuchons are a great family addition for those who reside in apartments and condos. They'll bark to alert the pack to new arrivals, but otherwise are pretty quiet. They're sociable and enjoy traveling with their families. Meet their needs for adventure and exercise with a walk around the block, a visit to a dog park, game time in the backyard. This sociable little dog will suffer separation anxiety and develop neurotic habits if left alone too many hours in the day.

Teddy Bears are naturally docile, tolerant, gentle, and accepting of children. They do well with other household pets including the family cat. They're easy to obedience train, and quick to learn good potty manners. Fulfill this little dogs need for mental stimulation by teaching tricks. Most love to perform as this fulfills there need for attention.

Teddy Bears are 11-16 pounds and live 15-16 years. They have a fluffy coat that doesn't shed, making this breed a good choice for those with allergies. They should be brushed regularly to prevent tangles, and the hair should be clipped every 6 weeks. A teddy bear cut is a great choice to make this little dog a real clean and adorable cutie. The large round eyes are another endearing trait.

A closely related designer dog is the Mini Teddy Bear, a cross between a Shih Tzu and a Maltese. They look just like their cousins, and share the same sweet and lovable personality. They also have the hypoallergenic, non shedding coat. They're toy sized, weighing in at 9-12 pounds, a puppy that never grows up.

Since the parent breeds are generally a healthy group, this little hybrid is a healthy, long living little dog. Like most small dogs, they occasionally develop knee problems. Eye problems and skin problems are in the genetic line. Although Shih Tzu's often have breathing problems, the hybrid usually has a slightly longer muzzle that alleviates this issue. Dental problems can be avoided by brushing your dog's teeth, feeding a high quality food, and providing dental chews.

Sometimes a dog advertised as a Teddy Bear may include a lineage mixed with poodles or Yorkshire Terriers. They may also be 2nd or 3rd generation Teddy Bear crosses. This little designer dog became popular in the mid 1990's. Designer dogs are not recognized as a breed by the AKC. There are no registries compiling official breed records or health histories.

Since there are no official registries, buyers need to do their research. Puppy mills breed for money with out careful attention to the genetic health or social needs of the parents or the puppies. It's best to visit the breeder to observe the parents and the puppies. Ask what has been done to socialize the puppies. Ask for health records. Ask if there's a health guarantee.
